DESCRIPTION:Italienische Lesung in Weilimdorf: „Mattanza“ von Germana Fabiano \nEs ist kein Sohn! Sondern eine Tochter. Die italienische Fischergemeinschaft hatte auf einen traditionellen Erben und Anführer gewartet. Gekommen ist Nora. Das von Wind\, Meer und alten Traditionen geprägte Leben auf der kleinen Insel Katria vor der Küste Siziliens beginnt sich damit zu verändern. \nDie italienische Autorin Germana Fabiano erzählt in ihrem Buch „Mattanza“ von einer traditionellen Gesellschaft\, die herausgefordert wird von der Moderne\, dem Massentourismus und Tausenden von Flüchtlingen auf der Suche nach Land. Die kleine Insel muss herausfinden\, wie weit sie gehen wird\, um ihre Identität und ihre Geschichte zu bewahren. \nGermana Fabiano stellt ihr Buch am Montag\, 1. Juli\, in der Stadtteilbibliothek Weilimdorf am Löwen-Markt 1 vor. Das Gespräch mit Professorin Simonetta Puleio\, Präsidentin der mitveranstaltenden Dante-Gesellschaft\, beginnt um 18 Uhr und findet in italienischer Sprache statt. \nEs wird für das Niveau B2 und höher empfohlen. \nGermana Fabiano wurde 1971 in Palermo geboren. Sie lebt derzeit auf Sizilien und in Tübingen\, wo sie ihre Arbeit als Autorin und Dozentin für Menschenrechte an der Universität Tübingen verbindet. Im Jahr 2009 veröffentlichte sie ihren Debütroman „Balarm“ und gewann den Preis „Colonna d’Eroma“ für eine ihrer Kurzgeschichten. Nach der Veröffentlichung mehrerer Romane und Kurzgeschichten in Italien ist „L’ultimo Raìs“ ihr erstes Buch\, das auf Deutsch unter dem Titel „Mattanza“ im Mare Verlag erschienen ist. \n\nDa sempre il mare\, il vento e le antiche tradizioni caratterizzano la vita della piccola isola di Katria\, di fronte alle coste della Sicilia. Guidato dal Raìs\, il cruento rituale della mattanza scandisce il ritmo delle stagioni. Quando\, contro ogni aspettativa\, l’ultimo erede del Raìs nasce femmina\, ogni cosa comincia a cambiare. Raggiunta dalle sfide della modernità\, dal turismo di massa e da migliaia di profughi in cerca di un approdo\, la piccola isola dovrà scoprire fino a che punto sarà disposta ad arrivare per salvare la propria identità e la propria storia. \nGermana Fabiano vive attualmente in Sicilia e a Tubinga\, dove coniuga la sua carriera di autrice a quella di docente di teoria e tutela dei diritti umani presso l’Università di Tubinga. Nel 2009 ha pubblicato il suo romanzo d’esordio “Balarm” e ha vinto il premio “Colonna d’Eroma” per uno dei suoi racconti brevi.
